This tough, durable radio utilizes polycarbonate housing and has the extra power (up to 10 times the power of FRS) critical for locations in adjacent buildings, campus settings, and multi-story buildings. No monthly fees or service contracts required. Range up to 5 miles outdoors and 250,000 sq. ft. indoors and available in a 5-watt VHF and 4-watt UHF/ models give up to 10 times the power of FRS. Meets military specifications 810 C, D, E for rain, dust, vibration and shock. 10 channels and uses a Ni-CD rechargeable battery. Crystal clear transmission from 500mW audio output with less then 5% distortion. Hi/Low power setting helps conserve power at the touch of a button.
